The P3 Integrated children are on the topic of 'Lifecycles of Animals' for Science in term 3.
Some mealworms and tadpoles (the latter caught by pupils) were left in the classroom to generate further interest in the subject.
The specimens enabled pupils to witness the various stages of their growth and in the process, the pupils were trained to observe and write notes of their observation.
This was later extended to a piece of project work for the wall board outside the classroom. Every pupil had to present information they obtained through research in the internet or from their observation, an aspect of the life cycle of the 2 specimens.
