Pre-School Programme
 
This programme caters to pupils from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 2. The programme focuses on the linguistic, social-emotional, intellectual, physical and aesthetical development of the pupils. Pupils are given ample opportunities to socialize and to learn with their hearing peers through joint language activities and play. This is done within the integrated setting provided in Magdalene’s Kindergarten.
Language Program
  • A thematic approach is adopted to widen children's general knowledge, vocabulary and concept development.
  • Pupils learn through participation in interesting and challenging activities.
  • Pupils are exposed to print at an early age through a multi-sensory reading program which leads to success in reading and writing.
Mathematics Program
  • A hands-on approach makes the learning of mathematical concepts meaningful and fun.
  • Emphasis is on mathematical language, thinking and experiential learning.
Art and Craft Program
Pupils are encouraged to express their creative ideas and feelings through free form art as well as child-appropriate craft activities. The activities also develop the fine motor skills.
Music & Movement Program
Pupils learn to appreciate music through personal experiences in listening, movement, singing and playing of percussion instruments.
Physical Activities
Pupils are given opportunities for physical movement indoors and outdoors to develop gross motor skills, spatial awareness and body coordination.
